In March 1998, The Ebony Ladies Golf League formed a second chapter in Columbus, Ohio with seventeen charter members. The Columbus chapter was a spin-off from the original Ebony Ladies Golf League that was established in 1997 in Youngstown, Ohio. The idea and dream came about from its founder and president, Brunilda Turner, who resides in Youngstown. The membership included ladies living in Youngstown, Warren, Cleveland, Columbus and Pennsylvania.
The Columbus Chapter hosted its initial kick-off at Bridgeview Golf Course on Saturday, March 25 Members and friends were invited to attend.
Play days are every Tuesday from May through August. League members receive a 50% on range balls at Bridgeview Golf Course during the league season.
